One strategy when trying to be productive might be the use of shortcut keys. Using short cut key instantly gives the impression of familiarity with the system.

So let’s get the ball rolling with some old favourites that you probably already know.

Shortcut Key Description
Ctrl + a Select All
Ctrl + c Copy
Ctrl + v Paste
Ctrl + z Undo previous action
Ctrl + y Redo previous action
Ctrl + Alt + Del Show Task Manager
+ d Minimise all applications and show the desktop
+ r Run dialog
Alt + Tab Task switcher
+ Tab Improved Task switcher
+ l Lock your computer

Arranging windows

Shortcut Key Description
+ Maximise the application.
+ Minimise the application.
+ Maximize the app or desktop window to the left side of the screen.

While snapped to left side of screen + / + can be used to snap the application to the top and bottom of that left hand side of the screen.
+ Maximize the app or desktop window to the right side of the screen.

While snapped to right side of screen + / + can be used to snap the application to the top and bottom of that right hand side of the screen.
